As travel experts and passionate runners, we know how vital it is to keep your mind free before a race. We scout the ideal accommodation to serve as our group's home base: comfortable and strategically located for the big day. We also orchestrate all on-site transportation and transfers so our community moves together seamlessly. We handle every behind-the-scenes detail.

Here's everything you need to know to head out with peace of mind.
Do I need a minimum level or to run a certain pace to join your trips?
Absolutely not!
The Run Away truly welcomes every kind of runner, whether you're brand-new to a start line or a seasoned athlete.
We're also careful to pick events that offer multiple distances on the same weekend.
The goal is simple: make sure there's always a format that fits, whatever your level.
Is the race bib 100% guaranteed when I buy a package?
Not always — it depends on the rules set by each race organiser.
We're fully transparent about it: our catalogue clearly states, for every event, whether the bib is guaranteed or not.
Just check the specific details of the race you have your eye on.
I already got my bib on my own. Can I still buy a travel package with you?
Of course!
However you got your bib (lottery, qualification, direct entry), you're more than welcome to travel with us.
You'll still get the full benefit of our logistics — hotel, transport, group energy — with a clear head.
We simply take the bib out of the equation and adjust the price of your package accordingly.
My partner/friend doesn't run. Can they still come along?
Absolutely!
A non-running companion or your whole family can join the adventure without needing a bib.
It's totally doable and we'll adjust your quote to match.
At The Run Away, we even strongly encourage you to come as a group or with family — sharing those emotions makes the experience even more unforgettable.
What happens if I have to cancel, for example because of an injury during my training?
As runners ourselves, we know an injury or an unexpected curveball can happen.
Our agency applies a strict refund policy, detailed in our Terms and Conditions, with cancellation fees that change depending on when you withdraw.
Note that the bib itself is non-refundable. To leave with full peace of mind and be 100% covered against the unexpected (injury, illness, family emergency), we strongly recommend taking out personal trip cancellation and interruption insurance.
If something goes sideways, that's the policy that will reimburse you, according to its own terms.
The Run Away does not sell insurance, so it's your responsibility to protect yourself with the insurer of your choice.
How do logistics work on race morning?
At The Run Away, we know race morning can be a major source of stress — that's exactly why we handle the logistics for you.
The exact setup depends on the race, but transport to the start is generally included in our packages (shuttle or public transit).
For some events, official shuttles leave directly from our hotel, and we'll let you know clearly when that's the case.
When it isn't, we'll specify on the trip page whether we're putting on our own shuttle to drop you off and pick you up as close as possible to the start and finish lines.
No bad surprises — everything is always laid out in advance.
